In Psalm 116 I notice deliverance of the soul from death. This psalm is the fourth of the Egyptian Hallel psalms that were routinely sung during Passover celebrations. This psalm was sung after the Passover meal. This psalm was probably sung by Jesus at Passover (Mark 14:26), which makes verses 8-11 especially powerful.
