Brief Commentary on Exodus 34

by Matt Carter
I notice in Exodus 34 that Jonah in Jonah 4:2 quotes only part of Exodus 34:6-7 back to God in his anger with Him. Jonah does what many of us, using the Bible simply to point out how right we are. One way that we can know that we are reading Scripture properly is if we adopt the posture that Moses did in verse 8. He quickly bowed low to the ground in worship to the LORD. That is our default posture as Christians when the LORD reveals Himself to us.
