In Exodus 28, I notice in verse 38 that the high priest will bear the guilt of the sacred gifts that the people of Israel bring to the LORD. In other words, it was never possible for the people of Israel to stay sinless. Even their best gifts and sacrifices would be imperfect. This reminds me of Hebrews 4:14-17 and Jesus our great high priest.
