What I notice in Exodus 16 is that even though they were fully redeemed from Egypt, the people still grumbled. In my own life I notice that I so quickly forget how often and how recently the LORD has provided for me. Even though it was only yesterday, too often it feels like it was years ago. Like it was for the people of Israel, this says more about the condition of their hearts than it does about the provision of the LORD.
