In Exodus 11 I notice that these plagues are falling across all of the areas of life that should be protected by their Egyptian deities. The first two touched the Nile River. The next four touched the land. The final four touch the sky. The Egyptians sought protection from these false gods to insulate themselves from their vulnerability in these key areas of life. God wants everyone to know that He alone is God. There is no other like Him.
