What I notice in Exodus 1 is that the prophecy of Genesis 15 that a great nation would form has been fulfilled. And that a new king was now ruling Egypt who did not know Joseph. The LORD works his plans through real history. He uses even the wickedness of those in rebellion against Him to serve His purposes.
