Brief Commentary on Genesis 26

by Matt Carter
In Genesis 26 I notice that Isaac built a memorial altar at the place where he encountered the LORD in a vision. He dug and redug a number of wells in the land. Due to conflicts with other shepherds, these were moved around. What does not move in this chapter, however, is this altar to the LORD. That stands out to me as a marker of permanence and importance.
