What I notice in Genesis 22 is the answer provided to the question of how to solve the problem of sin in humanity that was implicitly raised in Genesis 8:21. All people are sinful . God's justice demands that sin be punished with death. God's love demands that humanity be saved somehow. The solution is that God Himself will provide the sacrifice!
