The covenant with Abram is what I notice in Genesis 12. There is a command and a promise from God. For Abram, the only obedient response to this is one derived from real and profound faith. When Abram leaves with his wife Sarai and all of his stuff on this incredible journey, he walks into the unknown guided by his faith.
