What I notice most in Genesis 6 is verse 6. The LORD was grieved in his heart. Not merely sorry or regretful. The LORD grieved in his heart, and not for the last time. This means that the LORD God is not some distant creative force. You cannot grieve for something you do not also love. The LORD is a passionate God of love.
