Genesis 5 is the first time we run into one of those biblical genealogy lists. It wasn't until my daughter was born that I realized just how meaningful these genealogies can be. I'm reminded of that every time another member of family passes away. I notice here that the biblical story runs through families, through the real lives of real people.
